From what I can tell because i've purchased this way before , it's like a layaway or a pre-sell. They don't actually have it but are allowing you to get in on a discount and then when the order comes on hand those that didn't will pay full asking price and you have gotten in on the lower price."Common sense is self defense"Comment

Ok cool , yeah Turners is just a stop gap store for me because in all honesty they're usually over priced.Originally posted by IshootforbloodNo, I'll have to disagree. I called them, and they said no rain checks or back-orders. But, I ended up getting what I wanted from Empire G&A out of Riverside, CA. They actually have a lower price than Turner's sale Price. I still think Turners is an okay shop; they have a lot of different firearms to look at, and you can usually find ammo. Their occasional good deals seem to always be in limited numbers."Common sense is self defense"Comment

If it's a hot item at a great price, they'll usually state in the ad how many are available at each store. There's a reason people start lining up the night before the black Friday and grand opening sales. I've yet to see a deal worth camping out for, and I know better than to make a special trip if I think people will be lining up for it.Comment

The classic bait-and-switch
... you know it, she knows it, Marcellus knew it and Antoine should have known better.
Although bait and switch might technically be illegal it still used in stores without morals (which is almost every store these days).
As long as they can prove that they had even just a few of them sold at that price they're off the hook.Comment

Sounds like bait and switch unless in the ads where they state how many they have in stock. Even car dealerships sometimes will put 1 at this price in the ad. Even so I have gotten the attempted bait and switch at car dealerships in other situations. And I am not stupid enough to fall for it there or at Turner's.Comment

I received a "Wednesday Only Email" add last Wednesday for a over and under and went that day to look at it because i work down the street. Only one they had was the display and it had been banged around. Long story short, they had to get a new sealed box one from their warehouse. Called today and it is in the building ready for my pick up this Saturday. I understand your frustration.Last edited by 1911.45_4Me; 03-22-2018, 12:16 PM.--------------------------------------------------------------

hahahahaha nice.
For most of these items we are going off scheduled ship dates. Sometimes we have an small initial shipment that sells out in a few hours and we get more deliveries throughout the duration of the add. Other things like the Glock police trade in are limited to what we have and once they are gone they are gone. Usually you can work with the store to see when their next truck comes in to see if new stock has arrived.Chris
