Quick question about a blemish on recently purchased AR barrel

    hi!

First off, love Riflegear, the guys are great.

Recently (within 30 days) purchased my first ar upper, but there is a tiny blemish on the barrel. Just wondering if this is something any of you would exchange? I do want a perfect first build, but I also don't want to be nitpicky.

If you got the time please take a look at the pics below, would love any input here.

    Thanks.

Its up to you, is it a safe queen to be or a tool to use? Believe me, if you take a carbine class.... Whew. Lotsa scratches. Or they fall over in the safe. Or you try "gunsmithing" and scratch it.

I say use it. Enjoy it. Happy shooting.

Is the blemish behind the gas block shoulder (hard to tell from the pics)? If so, I wouldn't worry about it as it will not affect function nor looks as it will covered up by the handguard/rail that you install.

The scratch is located in front of the front sight post, on the exposed barrel. Not around the gas block.

I've decided to not exchange it. The rifle needs a few battle scars, it's too pretty right now

Thanks all for the small discussion, and thanks again to Riflegear for being a great shop.
