thinking of buying M&P 15-22, compliant and STD ?

I have an open DROS on rifle, thinking of addingng M&P 15-22.

your site lists 2 versions:
Standard at $439
Compliant at $499

I am guessing Compliant is California model...
but why can't I buy the standard model ? I thought 22 don't have any of the restrictions ? worst case can I buy the standard model without taking the 25 rounds mag ?

The "Compliant" model has no threaded barrel for states that require such. It also comes with 25 round magazines. So that one isn't for California. The "Standard" 10 round model is the correct choice for California. You got the prices flipped though. Standard is $499 and Compliant is $439.
