My buddy wants to sell me one of his guns and use the money to purchase an off list weapon (he qualifies due to being a cop). If we go in to purchase, can we use my credit card or does he have to pay? The DROS would be under his name and the payment made by me. I'm curious if this is legal since I don't have that much cash.

Most likely won't fly. The straw buyer intuition is too high. Why again does he need to use your CC to buy a gun for himself?"Then there are sheepdogs. The sheepdogs are the bastions of safety. The sheepdog lives solely to protect the flock and confront the wolf. They live for the opportunity to be called to duty to protect the innocent. The sheepdog has fangs and the propensity for violence but hopes that he will not have to resort to it. However, he lives for that day when he will be able to use his warrior skills and mindset to keep the wolf from harming the sheep." -
Credit cards and crossing name ownership creates issue. Stick with cash. Or save up cash then do the purchaseComment

He's selling me his Sig with 8 mags, IWB holster and $300 rounds of ammo for $600 which is a KILLER deal. Since I won't have the cash until payday, I'd rather just use my credit card to pay for his gun or put towards the cost of his gun, basically a trade.Comment
