I believe they move the trigger forward, put better trigger in,chrome lined barrell, stock and I think they thread the end of barrell for muzzle break. Not 100% but i think thats what they do...

      Hey zonum48,

The Saiga is converted by the importer (Legion USA) and comes 100% 922r compliant regardless of whether or not you use foreign or U.S. magazines.
The packaging also includes a list of U.S. made compliance parts, which is nice because it takes the guess work out of 922r.

There are some small, mostly cosmetic differences. For example, Arsenals are re-coated in a more matte-dark gray finish and the Saigas have the standard black color found on Saiga sporters. The Saiga AKM also has two rivets above the pistol grip which the Arsenal does not. The stocks are slightly different cosmetically.
They're both built off the same Saiga sporters, take standard AK mags, are 922r compliant, have CHF barrels, etc.
      They are both great rifles!

      One notable difference:
The California version Saiga AKM includes a Solar Tactical AK magazine lock, whereas the Aresenal SGL-21 includes an Assault Planet AK Bullet Button.
They operate similarly, but the mounting system and appearance are slightly different.

      Hope that helped
