    CMMG .22lr upper

    Does the bolt catch work on the CMMG .22LR dedicated upper?



    And can you guys please open up a second shop near me? Thanks

    i could be wrong but i dont see how the 22lr magazines can actuate the bolt catch when its empty. it might function like all the other 22 kits. you'd hear a click and thats it lol. i know a fully dedicated 22lr ar like the one s&w and colt makes does have the bolt lock back after the last round but thats because the lower receiver was specifically built for 22lr.

        Black Dog Mags serve as the bolt catch. Basically when the magazine is loaded the first round holds the follower below the feed lips. When the magazine is empty the follower is allowed to float up past the feed lips and will physically stop the bolt. The mechanism in the video I believe is separate from the upper but enables the use of the stock bolt catch thats standard on regular AR lowers. Thanks for posting that video FuzzyBrows.
