    Do I need lower rings?

I got my 4x14 ffp scope and really like it. I ordered med rings and the scope's bell sits about 3/4 of an inch above the barrel. I have read that it is best to have the bell as close as you can to the barrel. Also I have a 20moa base, so I think the low rings with the 20moa base would a nice fit. Your thoughts?
    Thanks

Getting lower is good more important than anything is that your not canted meaning that you are level every time.

Using a level I have noticed a big improvement in accuracy at long range.
Get your lower rings and level be sure to lock tight everything and that your mounting the scope level to the gun.
0 using level, run ballistic data, get your DOPE on paper.

    Hope this helps
