As near as I can tell, unless you reload your (and even if you do) ammo, shooting is way up there on the list of expensive sports hour for hour. Think of a round of golf at a public course (i.e. 4-5 hours for about $200 greens fees). How much ammo can you shoot even casualy in that amount of time. -

The only ammo that made me cringe cost wise was the 700 grain Underwood 500 S&W 500 Magnum. Otherwise it’s a hobby that is definitely less expense than when I had a boat. ��Last edited by DaveInOroValley; 08-07-2023, 1:19 PM.NRA Life Member
