We do not offer them at this time , what needs to be done to them to make them legal to ship ? We can run this info by the main office & our lawyer to see if they will consider the plan . -
Mag lock and bobsled (zero round magazine). Creates a single shot pistol without detachable magazine, thus not subject to the safety roster.Comment

How is the 1 round mag created ?Comment

bob sled
Or just modifiy a magazine to except 1 round. By placing something between the follower and the end plate.Originally posted by deadcoyoteI will sit by the freshwater creek that runs through my yard and laugh, wait for the bay area folks to start trickling north, then sell off my cheapie C&R collection at inflated prices. Wooden dowels work well. Buy a crap load of 10rd mags. Cut wooden dowels to length to prevent follower travel and slide between the spring coils, put the floorplate back on. Add a mag lock like the Prince50 Bullet Button.
Then ship them to CA like that. After they are transferred the customer can take off the floorplate, remove the dowel, and they have a CA legal semi auto AR pistol.Comment

Its a zero-round mag, not a 1-round mag, that you need to use. If you can have one round in the chamber and one round inthe mag, you have a two-shot pistol, which does not fall under the single-shot exemption.
Easiest way to get a zero-round mag is to use the Bobsled, as Adam mentioned. http://www.dctechs.com/obspage.htmJack
Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Ask around to a couple of dealers too. They will usually have a bobsled or three in the shop for the customer to use during transfer for a small rental fee/deposit. Then you just send the gun with mag lock to the dealer and they handle the rest.
Since the pistol doesn't have a detachable mag outside the pistol grip, due to the mag lock, it isn't an AW. A CA FFL can have a pistol not on the safety roster in their place, they just have to transfer it in a legal manner, whether it be roster exempt to a LEO or single shot to a mere mortal.Comment

We have no problem installing the mag lock and shipping if the dealer supplys the proper mag for legality issues . This would apply for the AR15 , AK47 pistols.Comment

Also we do thank you guys for the input & suggestions .Comment

That's the way I'd do it.
When I made AR pistols, I supplied the bobsled mag, which quickly became a pain.Comment

So just to clarify, if I supply a 0 round mag and a Raddlock, will you install them and ship the Olympic Arms K23 Pistol to my willing FFL? Thanks!Comment
