Shotguns with mags & New Laws

What is the situation with the new law going into effect in regards to Semi auto clip fed shotguns like the Vepr 12, FR 99 & XTR ? We have been told no more ways to comply and still ship them to CA . We are trying to line things up for our CA friends behind Enemy lines in 2017 and your input would be helpful.

Long story short, we're waiting until the DOJ issues their process for registration and hoping for some clarification.

• There are many who believe that detachable magazine semi-auto shotguns will need to be registered.
  
• There are a few who believe the new definition of bullet buttons as assault weapons only apply to rifles.

There are some ideas/items in the works as far as a "bullet button" type device that will require the action to be opened (thus complying with law) for these. Depending on if the AR pattern shotguns utilize "standard" magazine releases, products like the patriot release or the bullet button 2.0 may work. VEPR ideas are still being worked on.

We'll just have to wait and see.

Thanks for the help we have been trying to make heads or tails of the new law regarding the mag fed shotguns but it is not very clear.
