'UPDATED' SSE (Single Shot Exempt) Handguns

Hello Everyone,

We are constantly asked if we will convert non roster handguns into a SSE (Single Shot Exempt).

EDITED 5/30/2012: We are currently working on stocking off roster Single Shot Exempt handguns (Glock Gen 4, 1911's, XDM's)

In the meantime, we will be happy to transfer in an off roster Single Shot Exempt handgun that meets the requirements of a CA approved SSE handgun.

Update 5/22/2012:

We are currently working on getting the necessary parts to provide SSE conversions for off roster Glock Gen 4's and certain off roster 1911's.

The Glock Gen 4 and off roster 1911's will be set up as Single Shot Exempt handguns with the proper extended length barrel, mag release locked or converted and a sled that will not hold any rounds.

Once we start selling SSE handguns, these can only be purchased and picked up at our store, we will not transfer these to another dealer.

We will update this thread, and our website with availability and pricing once we have all the necessary conversion parts in stock.

SSE Transfers from another FFL:

In the meantime, please email us if you want to transfer in an already converted SSE off roster handgun from another ffl dealer.

SSE handgun transfers from an FFL cost $75.00 plus we have to collect sales tax on the purchase price of the handgun per the CA BOE.

We will only accept SSE transfers from another FFL who performed the conversion.

Awesome! Can't wait to have an SSE-capable dealer in the SFV area! Do you have a rough idea of timeline/price when the glocks will be available? I was going to pick up a 17 or 34 soon, but if you guys will have them I can wait a bit. I can also email or call if that would be easier.

We are working on getting the single shot exemption parts ready for the off roster Glock Gen 4's, and 1911's we will be bringing in.

We will add this to our customers SSE's wish list, and as soon as we are able to process off roster CZ's into SSE's we will announce it.

Yes, we already do.

Just as long as the SSE conversion is done correctly, and the SSE is coming from the FFL who performed the conversion.

We ask that anyone who wants a SSE transferred in from out of state (via a FFL) contact us first via email for details and to coordinate such a transfers.

Again, we will only accept SSE transfers from another FFL who actually did the SSE conversion.

Transfer fee is $65.00 plus DROS, and we do have to collect sales tax per the CA BOE (ridiculous tax code!)
