Difference Between Atac and ZK

Also what would be the pros and cons on using a SS Woa barrel with a ESS. Or should i just stick the with formula you guys have came up with for barrels?

The ATAC utilizes the PWS Long Stroke Piston System.

The Addax ZK utilizes our own ESS Short Stroke Piston System (Enhanced Short Stroke).

The Enhanced in ESS means that our new piston system has a specially designed gas tube and piston head that lengthen the overall gas dwell timing compared to most short stroke systems.
This has positive effects of improved bolt unlock timing, extraction, and smooth cycling.

We are going with a Short Stroke design to allow us more flexibility in the platform so that we can offer our new Piston Uppers and Rifles with a variety of handguards and free float rail systems.

Just stick with the barrels we recommend.

We have fully tested them, and they all work, and offer a excellent accuracy and durability.

Can you use a cmmg SPR Barrel instead of the DD? or is the DD higher quality? The reason I ask is because I have a Cmmg barrel on a upper you guys have built that I have rarely shot. I was wondering maybe I can use the CMMG barrel for the GPU and have you guys put a WOA barrel on the original upper.

I sent a email to sales couple days ago but maybe talking to you through here will be faster?

At this time, we are not performing retrofits using customer supplied parts.

All of our new uppers will be built with all new barrels that we spec'd for our new uppers.

Yup.

We will also be offering an 18" ZK GPU option, with our Polygonal 3 groove rifled barrel, just in case you want to have a mid-length 18" GPU.

Yeah... I was only leaning towards a 18'' GPU if I could of used the CMMG barrel and the larue rail on the upper you've build for me before. And I was going to try to have addax use the gas block, etc for the new 16'' DI upper with a WOA barrel.

Can we use the PWS gp system with a vtac handguard? or Larue?

I understand the shop is busy so I might just have you guys do the 16'' GPU build for me. I just need time to decide.

The PWS Long Stroke system uses a proprietary rail system, so we cannot use another rail system.

The new Addax ESS Piston System will work with the following rails:

Samson Extended Carbine and Mid-Length rails
Mid-West Piston Carbine Rails
Daniel Defense Omega Rail (the one that uses the Delta Ring)
Magpul Carbine and Mid-Length MOE handguards.

We are going to test out the DD Lite rails soon.

You have time, since we are planning on taking pre-orders for the new ZK Piston Uppers starting late November, with anticipated deliveries starting end of December to Early January.

I'm also curious if a tubular hand guard like a troy/vtac extreme will clear the Ess gas system.

For our mil-spec 16" chrome lined barrels, we will offer Daniel Defense and Sabre Defence.

We will also offer our own Addax-BHW Polygonal Rifled barrels in 16" and 18" in the mid-length model.

We will consider also offering White Oak barrels if customers do not mind the extra cost and wait time for these barrels.

No, the Troy TRX / Vtac handguards will not work, they are way too small (ID) for our system to work with these handguards.

Do you think you are going to do a group buy on the ZK models? I read it on it think ar15armory.com

Also I saw a GPU with the vltor cas-V hand guard. Would that fit with the ESS?

With just a slight mod. to the Vltor extended carbine handguard, it will work with our new ESS, and we plan on offering a CASV model to our website.

I am open to a Group Buy here on Calguns, but we will need someone to volunteer to help manage it with us.
