Dick's Sporting Goods is Great!

I just had a great a experience with the personnel at Dick's in Ventura. I purchased a Beretta A300. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, price-competitive -- they are the anti-Turners. They are going to start selling handguns (Glocks, 1911s) in a month or so. They get my vote for best LGS.

so yeah, dicks is probably the worst lgs you will come across. they seriously screwed over many, many folks.

Yes they have no EBR rifles. For that I suggest EBR Works in t.o. But they have a lot of big game rifles and shotguns in a normal sporting goods store. I got an awesome deal on a Beretta a300 -- $710 for the camo. Turners wanted $870 for the same item.

If Dick's counts as a gunshop because they happen to sell some guns, then so does WalMart. You guys need some real, good ol' fashioned gunshops in your area.

Glad you are fond of Dicks. Big Dick's actually, since that Oxnard store is very large and sells firearms too.

The majority here are not fond of Dick's, so you may want to keep it in the closet. As others have indicated, once you get unwillingly screwed by Dick's, you just don't find them appealing.
