Ventura County Calgunners! Let's spread the word.

We have been invited to host an info booth at an upcoming benefit for veterans and first responders. We'll need 4 volunteers to man the booth, engage the public and help set up/take down. It'll be a great opportunity to reach out to the general public and promote firearms education, safety and enjoyment.

What: CGSSA Information booth @ Ride to the Flags VII
Where: Malibu Bluffs Park, 24250 Pacific Coast Hwy, Malibu, CA 90265
When: Sunday, September 14th
Time: 12pm - 5pm

If you'd like to help, please answer the following questions:
1) Do you have a Calguns blue polo shirt?
a. If no, what size would you like? (Polos run pretty big, if in between sizes, I suggest going to the lower size)
3) Do you have previous Calguns booth experience?

Entrance into the rally is FREE for our volunteers.
Calguns polo is $20 and is required to participate (optional teal t-shirt available for the ladies).

BTW all, even if you can't make it, consider loaning me an EZ Up, maybe pitch in to help us pay for our booth space etc etc. I understand people are busy and maybe even disinterested etc but when we pool together it lightens the load on everyone. Crawl, walk, run.

To paraphrase a recent comment I saw; Did we win the battle and somebody forgot to tell me? Did Sacramento go to sleep forever, vowing to never return with gun control? Did the California general public see the light and realize to keep and bear arms is necessary and good?

Kinda hard to find info, which is strange...

Here's a map of last years route, posted on malibutimes. It looks like from Naval Base Pt Mugu to Malibu Bluffs park via Malibu Canyon.


I will find out more and confirm. Sorry, didn't think of this too much since we'll be stationary at the park.

How did it go? I got to drive by on my way into work around 0815ish looks like people were setting up. Hope it was a good turn out.

It was fun. A little slow. It was HOT and I think people came and went pretty fast to get out of the heat. Had some good conversations, a few people surprised to see us out there and others who were glad for it. All in all, I enjoyed it.

I have to say thank you to my wonderful daughter for keeping me company and helping set up. She even pitched Calguns like a pro after watching the old man do it a few times.
