Where can I set up a chrono 10' away??

Per USPSA rules, the chrono has to measure 10' away from the muzzle. Problem is, I can't think of any place (within a reasonable distance) that will let me set up a chrono and shoot from 10' away.

Any ideas?

Really, won't your local range allow it? I used to belong to a couple of the private clubs in the back before they even had CAS! Anyway, if you're a member of one of those clubs, it shouldn't be a problem. If you can't do it there, does Storny's still exist? If not, there are plenty of legal places to shoot within an hour of SLO. Check out a BLM map, call Los Padres ranger station, find a friend who lives out by Pozo, etc.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not in SLO anymore...I'm in Ventura County.

I'm thinking that I may have to go out to Lopez Canyon (my friend has a membership there) or my buddy was telling me about a place in Santa Clarita that will allow us to set up the chrono.

Lopez Canyon, Angeles, Oaktree, Piru, A Place to Shoot, etc. Hell, I bet Island View would let you if you asked them and they were not busy.
