Local Basic Firearm training Class for women?

My wife has decided she should learn more about firearm handling and is looking for a local class that geared towards women. At this point she would just like to learn the basics in a comfortable environment and then maybe later move towards marksmanship. Are there any classes in the local area (Lompoc to Santa Paula) that are basic in nature and geared to women? Since this is the first time she has expressed interest, I want to make sure the experience is a positive one.

My wife and I took the basic class at Island View. She also took one of the all-women classes put on by the NRA-Women on Target. This was put on by Nicky Dare at A place to Shoot in Santa Clarita.
I went on the NRA-WOT site, and do not see any scheduled right now. I would keep checking this site, and checking A Place to Shoot's website for upcoming classes. I still get emails from Nicky regarding upcoming classes, I will post here if I get one.

PM CSACANNONER here on calguns. He does women on target classes in Thousand Oaks. He also does CCW classes. Very flexible and reasonable. If can't do it I'm sure he will point you in the right direction.
