Man is the news having a field day with what should be a non-issue. The way the story sounded, the neighbors tried to reach out to the shooters (which I doubt) It would be best if the shooters would come to an agreement with the neighbors.

The”fbi swat” guy is full is crap. He probably just fetched coffee for the swat team . He is quoted saying “The shell itself is leaving the barrel at 2800 feet per second, when the bullet hits a rock it's going to splinter and shatter," Carroll said. I wasn’t aware that shells left the barrel. He is also a prime example of how in California , there are two classes of citizens when it come to gun rights. How dare anyone but current or ex law enforcement exercise their constitutional rights . Especially on their own private land . And the gall of doing it anywhere near this Carroll jerks house ( which was built after there was an established shooting area since at least the early nineties. I used to shoot there in 96-98). Just more anti gun nonsense from the local media.

too bad they didn't read the part on the air that the cops made this Carroll guy leave because he was uninvited on private property. Not sure what the actual complaint is? Shooting during the fire danger days? Watch the video, that place is in a huge bowl with peaks all around, so it's not like somebody's backyard.

i live in that development. It started when one resident posted that the shooting that could be heard was a danger to all and must stop. Then he posted that it was the Serbian Monastery up in the hills and it went on from there. The usual numb nuts come out of the wood work, all ballistics experts of course. Claims were made that mercenaries, terrorists and such were training there.

Ive shot at that range for a class last year. It would suck if it got shut down. It was a nice private place to shoot at.

Increases in population density will create more NIMBY's. I can't believe how crowded this state has become. It has a greater population density than Italy now even with vast open deserts and large mountain ranges.
