Outdoor Shooting Near Ramona

Going camping over Christmas at Dos Picos campground and also new to the area. Live in Escondido just for a few years. Is there somewhere we can go and shoot outdoors that's not to far from Ramona? Like maybe 30 mins Drive? Just want to have some cheap safe fun on Christmas. Thanks

Not anymore. Even if there was they'd be closed because of how dry it is.

We used to have Orosco Ridge. That was closed years ago. You must drive the 78 out to Imperial County, that's all that is still open.

Thanks. I was worried about the fires. Assumed that would be an issue this year. I assume Imperial County is BLM land? There is the spot near Julian (RR Tracks) I heard about. Might try there or just go back to Poway Weapons

ALL BLM land in San Diego county is closed for shooting. Only outdoor choices in SD co. near Ramona are P2K or South Bay Rod and Gun.
