I had a guy in lemon Grove area that was awesome but he went back to school last time I saw him. I'll text him and see I'd he's still up for work, I could use some stuff cerakoted too.

Edit*** I just texted him and he says he's still running. I'll pm you his info. I need to get some stuff too.

Go see Brandon, he works out of the old Triple E building.

        He does quality work.

I had a gun coated at west coast weapon works (san diego gun graphics) a little while ago. Attention to detail was just not there, you could tell they cut corners everywhere. There is a spot that didn't get coated on the top of the receiver near the ejection port that looks like a "bald spot". They sprayed the feed ramp of the action, but only about half way so there is a clear line (the line isnt even straight either) between black and stainless (original finish) midway up the ramp when you look in the action. They masked off the bolt head with tape when they sprayed it and it wasn't even remotely straight, there is a huge jagged tape line in the finish. Hard to explain without pictures but if you wrapped a piece of tape around the circumference of the bolt, the two ends are off from each other by like 1/8" or more, not even close. They definitely didn't blast the parts before coating like many shops do, which might not be so obvious if they didn't leave "bald spots" on the gun. I seriously doubt they dissassembled the bolt, but of course they charged me for it. We'll never know.

All in all, this is a match gun that gets banged up against barricades so it doesn't really bother me. Its a tool that gets used hard and its going to get dinged up anyway, I just wanted something to cover up the stainless.

But I wouldn't go recommending them either. If they were careless enough to give me the gun back with crooked *** lines and bald spots, who knows what corners were cut that I can't see. They probably would have coated the bore if they weren't too lazy to get in there with the cerakote.
