She's not hunter friendly either.....she denied us the ability to hunt the pigs instead spent 5mil on federal trappers. Each pig cost us over 26k.....

    She's worthless

Well, seen that coming a mile away. That letter was probably drafted months ago just waiting for the right time to be sent. I especially like the line "it is unknown whether illegal weapons were used".. then why bring it up?

Where are these houses with bullets flying by?

And in regards to the trash, this is actually one of the cleanest BLM shooting spots I've been around, especially with how busy it is.

this is a case where the bad gun owners (not criminals but the slobs of humanity that don't care about anything but themselves) ruin it for the rest of us.

these bad gun owners are what causes all the bad rift between us and the general community who doesn't shoot.

Maybe instead of closing BLM land to target shooters, she should be asking for increased manpower/more frequent patrols of the area. . (?)

Dianne Jacob happens too live in Jamul, not far from where the fire was.

I had a go around with Ms. Jacob some years ago over selling Ford OEM Parts to the San Diego County Garage. We used to sell to them on a cost + basis and deliver for no charge. I'm sure there were GM and MOPAR dealers doing the same thing.

All of a sudden Napa auto parts came into the picture as a middleman. They would order OEM parts from us, the ones they couldn't supply and resell the parts to the County.

I emailed Ms. Jacob to inform her that the county was now paying more for the parts than they had been, and as a County of San Diego tax payer I didn't agree with the way it was being handled.

Up until that time I used to vote for her, but that came to a stop!

              Well my rant is off!!

I've been voting against her for years. What took you so long?

She is a bad Republican. Good Democrat, but bad Republican.

That is the truth. When I spoke to the BLM ranger in 2015 when he was retiring he indicated that he would not be replaced.

Hopefully with the new Interior Secretary we will get some money for the needed resources.

Unfortunately stupid people require supervision. These stupid people started a fire at the beginning of what could be a very dangerous fire season. Fortunately the wind was blowing towards the west and the winds were fairly calm. My Mom had to be ready to evacuate for 3 days as the fire started just two miles from her home.

A BLM officer caused the Chariot fire in 2013 by driving over brush. Burned 7,000 acres and 150 structures - far worse than the gate fire whose cause is currently unknown. Could have been a cigarette for all we know.

Dianne blames shooters without any evidence as to the cause. Why not ban negligent BLM officers or smokers? Her agenda is obvious.

Im not the social media type but those who are should point out her bias.

Five minutes before this post you said you spoke to a Ranger.

I also spoke with Funk before his retirement and I can guarantee there is a replacement. Funk even had a 3" binder full of intel he was passing onto his predecessor.

I suggest people contact Jacob an explain it is public land, that there are little to no public lands left for thousands of law abiding safe citizens to go shooting outdoors, that volunteers regularly clean these areas, and even would make these areas safer with signage and grass removal IF allowed to do so. That working with the shooting public who vastly are good citizens some of which are even law enforcement/veterans will result in preventing bad things from happening in the first place.

Sounds good. Why not open other areas like Kitchen Creek which are much more suitable to shooting and have far less fire risk due to a lack of vegetation? As sdfire pointed out in another thread, when you limit the number of legal areas you force more people into fewer parcels.
