    Is anyone available May 29th?

    I have the 29th free and I want to go down to Imperial county to do some shooting. I know XenosAce (of calguns... Mediocre fame? Anonymity?) will be there, and I can likely convince my girlfriend (though she is a novice) to attend, but that gets a bit... Dry, shooting with the same people and the same techniques and the same failures.

    I have a couple dozen shoot and see targets, and a couple of saw horses I am willing to use as target stands to dedicate to the effort.

    Is anyone else willing and able to attend, or to donate resources? The one thing I properly love about Calguns is that it allows people to organize shoots in CA, but I don't really know of any SD locals that have the time or money to throw at our hobby,

    So I was driving home from the range and I noticed that the scent of warm steel, burnt gunpowder and lukewarm coffee combined and smelled oddly of... Peanut butter?! Man, the Hoppe's is going to my head.

      Imperial County where? The spot I go to is down there.

      I may be able to make it. I'd go early though. Gets mighty hot around 9:30-10am.

          Yeah, early is best but I have some easy-ups to provide shade if that doesn't work.

              Sounds good. PM me and I'll let you know what spot I go to. I should be able to make it out that day. I pick up my new Remy 700 .223 next week.
