Looks like Big Shot on Mirimar is closed

Stopped by there today and there's no sign it ever existed.

They closed the one in Fountain Valley in the OC too.

Man that was fast. Did they even make it a year? I went in there when they first opened. Wasn't greeted and just looked around. Having just come from rifle gear my first thought was how are they going to compete? Prices were definitely steep.

They probably couldn't compete with Parallax Tactical and Gunfighter Tactical being in the same area. I've only been to Big Shot when they had a sale on blemished lowers. I agree that their prices seemed to be quite high compared to others.

I did a PPT there and was very happy with the experience, but as noted above their listed prices seemed a little high.

I remember them having a large presence at gun shows but I never bothered stopping in their stores. I guess they are kaput now.

Their Facebook page is still up and I messaged them about it. The responder said they were moving but then never responded to my further questions.

Ive driven by them a number of times on the way to gunfighter tactical after work, but never felt the need to go in because the customer service at gft was spot on.

I'm surprised that stayed open as long as they did. I went in there a couple of months ago and in their 10,000 sf showroom they had like 5 guns there.

Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating, but not by much. They must have had 12 glass gun cases with 3 or 4 guns in each one. I think I laughed out loud when I had been there 5 minutes and no one even made eye contact... I made it out the door without risking anyone greeting me... it certainly wasn't The Gap, that's for sure...

I remember going there when I was going to start my AR build. I went in and not a peep from anyone, I looked at the lowers and nothing under a hundred bucks. I ended up going to Parallax Tactical and getting my aero lower for 80 bucks out the door.

I went right after the panic multiple times because it was the only place that had actual stock. They were taking orders for special items that were actually coming in in faster time than any other shop. Guys were super nice. But that was years ago. Seemed to taylor to a better audience than the mumblers that shop at Parallax. But they were pretty pricey after the panic cleared up.

Did many PPTs there, staff was efficient and friendly. Nice store, but quite a bit of floor space and not very many customers. San Diego has a lot of gun stores to pick from.

I liked the place but never bought any guns from them. Staff was nice, I recognized one of the guys who worked at jd machine that I had done business with before. Overall the store was huge and always felt empty when I'd go in there. Ultimately, Miramar was pretty out of the way for me and I had no reason to go down there for gun stuff most of the time unless it was something specific from Parallax.. Big Shots customer service was way, way better than Parallax.. but there wasn't a whole lothing of inventory to bring you in there. I'd usually give them a call to see if they had a specific item, usually the answer was no. Low and behold Parallax usually had it.

They are still running their ad at the top of the page.
