    New To Temecula

Looking for an outdoor range. A nice club that I can take my family to. What would you reccomend?

The closest one is Rainbow Range, by the Border Patrol checkpoint. It isn't a big range, as the rifle range only goes to 100yrds., but it is nearby and it is a good place to shoot.

Nice, I'll check them out, thanks. Does it get really crowded on the weekends?

It looks like with this range you are not allowed to bring family or friends without them having an associate membership? Is this correct?

No, this is not correct. Below is the applicable info from their FAQS:

Yes, visitors of members are permitted, however, the visitor is not permitted to load, unload, or discharge any firearms. Members are responsible for the actions and safety of their visitors and/or guests.
Yes, you may bring a guest for the day for a fee of $15 for each guest, maximum 2 guests per full member only, (associates do not qualify to bring guests).
In the latter instance, the guest is able to shoot. Also, any legal firearm can be shot there. I have shot my AR 15 and featureless AK type rifles with no problem. I have 30 round and a drum for the featureless also. Just no rapid firing allowed.

The Associate membership also applies to grandkids. One of my grandsons has been an associate member since he was 8 and he will be 13 in May.

I believe their Associate membership is a great thing. Where else can a person join a membership type range for $20 a year. The only stipulation is they have to be with you; they can't come alone. I don't think that is a big deal, since if they are kids, you probably wouldn't want them there without adult supervision and if it's a spouse, going together is just one more thing to do together.

          I hope this is helpful.

Yes it did. Thank you. I will shoot them an email and hopefully I'll be a member as soon as there is an opening. Though it looks like until then I'll be going to Hemet. Thanks again.

BLM land in Perris. But it's super crowded and sketchy on weekends. Maybe not a family spot.
