    *****CANCELED***** February 2nd, 2013 - Rancho Magnum Monthly Shoot - 7:30PM

Friday, February 2nd at Rancho Magnum Range @ 7:30 PM - 10:00 PM

The shoot will follow the order of "Meet, Shoot, Eat". The "eat" portion will be held at Applebees.

As usual there will be a competition. Details below.

The meeting will be held in the lobby. This is where you will sign in. Once everyone is checked in I get the list to the range staff and you pay the range fee before entering the range. Once we are ready we will be given our lane assignments.

    Range Fee:
As long as we get at least 11 people it is $20.

    Address to Rancho Magnum:
    9049 9th St.
    Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730

    Address to Applebees:
    10709 Foothill Blvd
    Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730

    Competition:
Details given at night of shoot, but for now, lets just say it is centerfire psitol and only needs three rounds. A bit of a foreign sounding word starting with an M might have something to do with it.

    Guns Allowed At range:
    Handguns at common handguns calibers
Rifles: Rimfire + 5.56 IF you purchase their frangible ammo at the range
    No shotguns
No holstered firearms on firing line and no shooting from holster.

For anyone interested in coming out that missed the previous ones, please come on out, it is a very enjoyable time with other Calgunners.

Look forward to see you all there!

Please be sure to post that you are coming and any guest you are bringing. This lets me know that we have enough people to get our negotiated rate of $20/person.

      Where is everyone?

I'll throw a conditional I'm in... assuming OcArmory calls me to start dros tomorrow...

Gonna miss this one. Going to the high desert to shoot and film some Ghost Hunter/Adventure Spoofs at a ghost town. I will try to make the March event.

Started DROS Tonight at 7:27! I'll be there buy I'll be running late.

I think it was back in November maybe October. We had a guy who let me shoot his newly purchased Gen 4 Glock 17. I'll be returning the favor with my Glock 35.

People ask me about these shoots all the time. One concern that always comes up is, "We would like to come but we only have X,Y,Z type guns and those aren't allowed at Indoor Ranges." Or, "You always talk about the competitions, I'm not comfortable competing."

My response is that although I do bring my own guns, there have been a few meets that the only time I shot my own gun was during the competition. Yes, every meet we do have a competition but it's about breaking people out of their shooting routine and expand comfort zones. I remind them I'm not inviting them to the IE Monthly Competition, but the IE Meet, Shoot and EAT. I've noticed that many people don't dine with us after the shoot and I would like to challenge more people to join us. The eat portion often lasts longer than the meet and shoot portion. I've gotten home later than midnight quite a few times.

Looking forward to seeing every one and showing off this free state delicacy!!

I guess everyone is hoarding their ammo or doesn't have enough ammo to shoot.

I will keep an eye on things but we need more sign ups for this to happen this month.

FWIW the competition this month (if we get enough people) is Centerfire pistol, and only need 3 rounds. Trying to use less ammo given the market.

Need 8 more people. Bring your friends! Bring someone who hasn't shot before (family, friend, coworker, etc), the range has rentals available.

As far ammo goes RMR has many of the common handgun calibers in stock so if you are worried about ammo you can always buy at the range.

                        Per RMR:
                        9mm in stock
                        40sw in stock
                        45acp in stock
                        38spl in stock

They also have some brand new rental guns in as well.

If lack of handguns is an issue I can bring a few extra.

Sean, have we ever skipped a monthly shoot since this started?

Nope, never. And the last several shoots had 20 or more people.

I thought I heard that there was a missed month in the beginning before I started... Maybe I'm thinking of the Beaumont shoots.
