Field time indoor pistol shoot. Why so expensive?

I was looking to sign up for the next indoor handgun spot at field time indoor range.

But what is with the fat $40 fee? All other events are on average $20 to $35 for GSSF/USPSA matches, which I understand. Range rental, steel plates and targets, certified ref and staff pay along with actual comp standings and rosters usually a free smith booth and a BBQ lunch/vendor booth.

But why is field time $40 a spot? It's their own facility. Their own staff and balloons. Wtf is such a fat fee going towards? $10/hr staff pay for 2 hours and $2 bag of balloons/plastic party plates. Maybe $5 range fee for revenue total maybe $30 total.... But $40?

    WTH are we paying for?

Or you could come to our monthly shoot there and pay only $12.

Very interested. PM or post details please.

But why so expensive? Just pure revenue or is there something I'm missing on what the fees cover?

Edit:IGM I looked at their calander and see no CGN shoot event listed. Is it set up like theirs with stages and movement or just a meet and great type of shoot?

Maybe they are interested in making a profit?

        I wonder...

It's a meet and greet held every month and it's a lot of fun. I drive from LA to attend the meets as often as I can because the people are really nice and the facility is the best indoor range I've been to.

Nicest indoor range I've ever been to as well. You can't even smell a whiff of powder at all.

Higher costs Associated with New Buildings in California!

Let me POLITELY explain from a LANDLORD DEVELOPER 30 YEAR COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE POINT OF VIEW:
1=TENANT IMPROVEMENTS INSIDE THIS BUILDING COST $4 million!
2=$4 million not including the building and land! WTF????
3=Regulations, City, County, State & Federal laws on everything from noise, air, insurance, every "MOLECULE OF MATTER".
4=California=OVER REGULATED in the WORLD! I know I researched in person every state in USA & 68 other countries LAWS
5=I only buy Vacant land outside City limits 40 acres or bigger to avoid about 95% of the California Bureaucratic Regs!
6=LET's TALK REAL ESTATE, LAWSUITS, INSURANCE, TENANTS, CASH FLOW, LOANS & IRR AKA INTERNAL RATE OF RETURN.
7=IRR IS a mandatory Finance investor calculation necessary under FEDERAL SEC law!
8=CLICK BLUE LINK BELOW & YOU CAN READ ABOUT MY BACKGROUND.
9=I'm a walking PhD CCIM in math and real estate returns on investment!
10=Basically Govt+New buildings require higher returns vs. old buildings!
11=Reduce Regulations and costs drop like Utah & Texas, probably 75%
12=Land in some areas of California is at $8-7 million per acre (Japan value)?
13=Some farm land in California is at or over $99,000 per acre! Obscene!
14=Some beachfront homes are now at over $5000/sq. foot. WTF?
15=At the bottom of the real estate market, 2011 & 1994 vacant homes were selling for under $50/sq foot. Yup, $40s/ft!
16=I do tons of graphs, math, stats and read about 30,000 pages a year!
17=This is not an insult to CONSUMERS, California Business & real estate laws are TOUGHER THAN CALCULUS!!!
