I'll suggest that you could try to find a way to scroll down other sub forums and you will see one under Marketplace and then that there should be handguns for sale or something like that.

When you post a new thread over there they'll be a format for you to describe price, your General location, maybe even post a picture of your gun, if you'd like to.

Before you do that though you might want to read the rules of the marketplace because selling items require a price ( I think Calguns doesn't want this to be an auction type site where members are bidding against each other) or you can ask for trade and there are a few other minor rules.

And don't worry about deleting this thread hopefully it will die a quick death on its own.

Good luck on your sale and welcome to calguns.

Thank you! The reason I didn't put a price is because I don't know what it is worth. Any ideas?

Without a picture it's hard to say but I don't think there are many (or any) Taurus revolvers in 38 Special that are going to fetch a price over $500 and more realistically it is probably in the $250 range give or take $50 to $100.

But it is a Taurus revolver tradition that if someone helps you on the internet...

that you give it to them for $7.

              :-) just joking around.

If you do not know what model Taurus it is, post a picture in the "general gun discussions" section and ask for help for ID and a fair price.

Then post it for sale in the Marketplace.

I suggest you read the Marketplace Rules before posting as well. https://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/...d.php?t=810593

                Edit:

You should do the same for your H&R 22 if it is still for sale.

I know my first answer was kind of vague but I've seen Smith & Wesson J frame sell for as low as $250 when they were slightly used. Smith & Wesson is the company Taurus at South American company originally copied and I do mean completely copied their designs from.

They can be great revolvers if you can get them at a low price but there has always been reports of quality control problems with Taurus even right from the factory.

Some collectors also give you a few extra buck if you have the box and all the original stuff that came with it but I don't think that even applies to Taurus... Because they are considered a second shelf manufacturer but of reasonable quality and safety.

I would probably price it at $380 if it was in mint condition and then type in big letters ... open to reasonable offers.

You can also ask for trades if there's anything you're specifically looking for or just people to send you trade offers that you didn't even think you wanted.

If it doesn't sell then you can drop the price at any time just by editing your thread. Then every 24 hours , per the rules, you bump your thread to the top of the list by putting the comment "bump" in your thread.

Man , I don't know if all this work is worth a Taurus even at $7. :-)

You can get a new Taurus 38 Special revolver for less than $380.

Thank you everyone for your helpful advice. I have re-posted the H&R in the Marketplace section. This site is not the easiest to navigate, but with help it gets done.
