A Girl and a Gun Women's Shooting League - in Burbank!

I'm very excited to announce that I have been able to bring a chapter of A Girl & a Gun to California! While I'll technically be the "Burbank" chapter, events will probably be mostly at Oak Tree in Newhall and Firing Line in Burbank.

We will be holding events at least once per month, which will consist of "Girls' Night Out" or "Breakfast and Bullets." We'll also host quarterly matches where you can compete on a national level, and be hosting clinics periodically.

I'm pretty excited, since this is a great way for women shooters to continue to practice existing skills and learn new ones in a fun environment. Hope to see you soon!

A few of us are interested in getting CGSSA sponsored Women On Target clinics at Oaktree or another range close by. I don't know the logistics of it but, maybe we could duel sponsor one or more.

Thank you everyone! I would love to do a CGSSA / Women on Target / Girl and a Gun co-sponsored event. With big numbers, I could probably get our AGAG sponsors involved, which includes Glock and Smith and Wesson.

AGAG also puts on quarterly matches, with scores reported nationally, so women can get a taste of competitive shooting without just showing up at an IDPA or something similar by themselves. (I'm more than happy to do stuff like that, but it isn't for everyone!)

I'll keep everyone updated with dates as soon as I have them. Should be hearing from Oak Tree this week. I'm getting ZERO traction with Firing Line, even though I offered to just do weeknight events. Hm.

Update!

Our first official event will be a Girls' Night Out, at Oak Tree Gun Club, on February 5th at 6pm. We'll meet at the Grill, have some food, and then move to either pistol or rifle for some fun, depending on what everyone wants to do.
