    Costa Mesa gun show

Has anyone here been to this gun show? Are prices usually the same as store prices? Also i've read that a majority of these gun shows don't really have much of a selection for the ak but have lots of ar's can anyone confirm this?

I watched a CNN review on gun shows and apparently cash and carry is very easy to do at guns shows. Now I don't really believe this as CNN is biased and it was done in southern states, but for here in cali how does PPT work at gun shows? Do we have to go to some dealer at the gun show to run the DROS or something?

    Thanks

The Costa Mesa show is probably the best remaining show in SoCal, and thats not saying much. But worth checking out if you have never been.

After gas cost, parking and entry fee you can find better deals online for the most part.

For powders and primers, if they are in stock, a gunshow is a good option to avoid the hazmat cost. And bulk ammo prices are competitive usually.

There is the entertainment factor. And sometimes you can find a good deal if you know what your looking for.

However if you like jerky, stun gun zappers and Chinese one off products California gunshows are second to none.

PPT works at a gunshow like anywhere in CA, virtually universal registration and BG checks

Most of the gun shows these days are for lookers.People who check out the stuff to see what it looks like in person ,then buy online. The biggest and best gun show on the west coast is the SAR ( Small Arm Review magazine) show in Phoenix, with Crossroads West Gun shows At the Arizona state fairgrounds next month. Its a 3 day show.Google it.

At some shows in Ca there is an ffl on site to take delivery and do the dros right there. You then go pick up at the ffls place of record. Otherwise you pay and the seller ships to your ffl of choice. You can never walk away with firearm mfg after 1899 unless you have proper ffl if you reside in Ca.

It is ok for a day out and looking at stuff, but it is mostly junk. Finding a great deal on a gun is super rare.
^^ as mentioned above, there is no buy a gun and walk out with it. That is in Arizona not CA.

yes, if you bought a firearm in AZ, it would need to be sent to a CA FFL to facilitate the transfer. at that point, the roster applies for handgun transfers, as well as the 1-in-30 rule.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?
