You may want to consider linking to this in the OC and IE Chapters.

I've never been to this range. Are there any restrictions with the ammunition?

On the events page for this shoot, there is a note regarding holster for a secondary. Will this class require a pistol at all?

Yes, projectile must be non-magnetic. (They will actually check)

I'm not sure about the sidearm. No sidearm was specified, nor were any sidearm ammo requirements posted. It would be a good idea to bring a sidearm and train with it, if for no other reason than to be aware of any interference issues with your gear.

I took their carbine/pistol class this year. Before that class, I never drilled or practiced changing from carbine to pistol & visa versa. I liked that class for learning something new.

I apologize if there was a miss understanding on the event page. but our CORE class is just AR only. no need for side arm.

in case we messed up on the link, here is the page for the class:

Thanks for the clarification. I believe the confusion originated on the linked page towards the bottom of the page in red, where it states:

All classes except NRA 1st steps program will require a holster
for your pistol. We do not allow cross draw holster for the fact you will be muzzling someone.

That said, will it be acceptable to carry an unloaded holstered sidearm?

We had a segment on how to take-down/field strip your AR & proper lube points.

(there was no ammo allowed in the class room portion)
