    German P226

I want a vintage Sig Sauer P226, made in W. Germany. I've been told that since these P226s are off list, I'm limited to a private party sale, within CA. I've seen several on the gun auction sites and the out of state sellers said they would ship to CA, but I'm wondering if such a transaction is legal. Would I be able to transfer the purchase through an FFL? I appreciate any help/clarification.

No, the only way to get one of these beauties is through a private party face to face transfer at a FFL.

If a store has one on Consignment with a private party, then you can purchase it from them.

    I just purchased a W. German (1990) P226 from a pawn shop this way.
