Yesterday I took my wifes daughter to the range for the first time. We shot lots of .22's in my Ruger single six which she really liked and wants to go again. As we were shooting, there was a dad and his two sons shooting next to us and I heard one of his sons say "Hey, he's got a revolver.....I LOVE revolvers".
I always like to promote the shooting sports with other people especially the younger ones as they're the next generation of shooters to carry on the tradition. I grabbed a fist full of .22's and my Ruger and offered to let them try it. The kids eyes lit up and the dad said ok. The dad and both sons each shot a cylinder of .22's and handed it back to me and thanked me. I can tell what that dads next purchase might be.........lol.
My wifes daughter continues to fire the last few rounds of .22's then I let her shoot my Bob Chow 1911. One round later she said "I'm done with this one". Same for the AR, so I did'nt even let her try the Sig .40. She wants to go again and shoot the Ruger again...........I think I'll have to will it to her..............lol
Anyways, I think I created a monster as she posted pics all over her FB account and can't wait to go again. We had a great time and I give kudos the two rock shooting range in Petaluma. I've been there several times and have always had a great experience and met some really nice folks as well. It's only $15.00 per person all day. Anyone that lives near Sonoma county should give it a try.
