Hey, good seeing you again, Kenny. Thanks for the .223 brass!
Was a fun outing, for sure. Always cool shooting w/ the gang--Black Majik, Beetle Bailey, Glock30, HK996, etc. I actually got to shoot everything I brought for once. Even got to try out the .22 dueling tree.
Was pleased I got to sight in the 10/22, although the Marlin seems to not be zeroed. Was pleased the +5% Wolff mag spring fixed the jamming in my X5. That sucker now digests my reloads and WWB w/ no problem.
Maybe we'll see you guys next Sunday.
(Kevin, get Andrew signed up on Calguns ASAP, eh?

Good seeing you guys today!
My god was it empty, we had about 6 benches in a row to ourselves near the clays, and the pistol side was empty until we started unloading there.Comment

It was a fun day, finally got to shoot a good amount of what I brought out. Seemed half of you guys were too busy rockin' the rifles, I didn't see some of you guys at the pistol side at all today.
Although we haven't done much of it lately, it was nice to shoot some clays again.
Kenny, thanks for letting me shoot your G19. Those loads are pretty light too.
Scott, thanks for letting me shoot your buckmark and thompson 10/22. And that .22 mag NAA revolver was a hoot!
Andrew, if you're ever on Calguns... it was nice meeting you.
Of course our usual crew. A pleasure as always
Kinda boring though.... no J-Cat to school us on uneven barrel hoods and miscut barrel feet.
ETA: Mikey, that dueling tree ROCKED! That damn middle black steel was a major PITA!!

I got there about 11 and stayed until 1-ish. I was on the pistol side and it was actually kinda empty. I was replacing the scope on my 10/22T and got it sighted in fairly quickly.
Only took about 5 shots to get the scope to zero, but I forgot about the eye relief when I cranked it from 6 to 24. I couldn't get a good cheek weld so my eyes started to fatigue faster than usual.
I found a good setting and started plinking away. I put a bunch of 1" shoot-n-c dots around my target holder and put 1 round into each one at 50 yards. That was from a rest.
Next I tried some off-hand stuff on the steel. I actually hit the stupid 100 yard chicken with my first shot. Pure luck. The girl range officer said to try the vertical rectangle. Couldn't hit it. I could hit the pig's heart 4 out of 5 times. Then my eyes really started acting up and I was done. Plus that darned 10/22T weighs a ton.
If I have to put a bipod on it, I'll never be able to shoot it off-hand.
I'll have to go back so I can re-zero after I change the eye relief.NRA Life Member
