Doesn't look like anyone will have their Bohicas to show up with.

Well, you want have to worry about me showing up to any shoot with a Bohica. I finally got fed up with waiting and the excuses, so I let Chris know it. He said he'd send me my MKI back and not a MKIII like he had offered to swap. The MKI I had wouldn't work on my lower and many other people had the same issue. The bolt would bind and not go back. It was an issue with several MKI's, that is why he redesigned the bolt tube.

He's blaming the entire thing on my "out of spec" lower and now won't help me. I told him I didn't want a $1000 paper weight and to refund my money. He then said he'd send me a full refund of $895. I then had to call him out that I paid $1020 and had the credit card statement to prove it. He said that he'd refund that amount and that I'd be banned from the forum.

Well, I'm now banned and he's deleted anything and everything regarding this situation. I've sent several emails asking when I'm going to get my money and he won't respond. I told him that I'm giving him til the 18th of August to send my money to me or I will be reporting him for internet fraud. The 18th is 10 USPS shipping days from the day that he said he'd refund my money. That is more than enough time to get me a refund.

I first oredered my MKI in April of last year. I got put off for at least 2 months on delivery with all the same excuses he is using now. I was sold a "snap on" upper that I spent at least 4 hours fitting my lower and still the bolt wouldn't go back. I tried it on my RRA and Superior Arms lower and it wouldn't work on either one. It isn't just my lower. It was such an issue that there is a subforum dedicated to lower issues on Chris's forum.

In January, I asked him to swap my bolt for a MKII bolt because he changed the design to eliminate the bolt bind problem. He said they weren't interchangeable but if i'd give him a month or two, he'd exchange mine for a MKII. Well, we all know what happened with the MKII. It turned into the MKIII. I've had nothing but delays and excuses on this for 6 months and finally had enough.

Until I've received my money, I believe I've been scammed. I will post as soon as I get it.

He's been sitting on some peoples uppers for several weeks for repair when he's promised them it would be a week or two. A poster on Calguns had an issue with his brake being machined wrong and the bullets are hitting it as they exit the barrel. Some people with the 510 DTC uppers have the chambers reamed out of center causing the cases to bulge and hard extraction.

        hornadylnl,

I'm sorry to hear about your problems. But, thank you for such a straight forward and factual post. I started this thread attempting to get a few new 50 owners to come out and shoot a FCSA match. I only used Bohica's name in the title of the thread since, I believe that there are more than just a couple people on this forum that have them. I did not mean to belittle or otherwise discredit them. Of course, I'm glad that you were able to post your experience with them and I'm also happy that you finally will get your money back. If you want a top of the line 50 upper, look into ALS (I have one that you could see) or Ferret. Both of these uppers are capable of winning matches and I know that ALS uppers have even set several world records. If you're still interested in getting a 50, please consider joining the FCSA. If you are around Reno this friday (it's sight in day), feel free to come out to the range and shoot my ALS for a bit. I bet that other's would also let you shoot their 50s so that you could get a feel for each one and help you decide what kind to get. If you or anyone else wants to come, PM me with a phone number and I'll call you as swoon as I get it. I will not have internet access but, my phone get's my emails (usually). If you just happen to come out there, I'll be driving a black '06 Dodge Power Wagon with a canvas shell on the back.

Chris hasn't answered any of the 5 or 6 emails I've sent him since Wed. night so I'm not too confident I will get my money back. I was given this link from a police officer. http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx If I don't have my money by the 18th of August, I will be filing a complaint with them.

I originally planned on ordering an ALS when I ordered the Bohica. I was sold by the "shorter" weight time and lower price. We all see where that got me. If I'd went with the ALS, I'd have it by now. I'll probably end up going with a Ligamec.

Received a business check from Chris today and deposited it in my bank. I should know by the end of the week if the check clears or not. I'll post as soon as I know.

I checked with my bank to see if it has cleared his bank yet. They said it is still too soon to tell. I went ahead and ordered my Ligamec 22" upper today. He said it will ship next week so hopefully I'll have it by the end of next week. I'll post some pics once I get it.

As of yesterday, my check was still good so I'm sure it won't be a problem now. I ordered my Ligamec last Friday and got a tracking number yesterday and it is showing shipped. Even through a freaking hurricane, the owner of Ligamec can communicate and ship an upper. Did Chris get any tracking numbers out this week?

Well, you guys missed some of the best shooting conditions that the range has ever seen! On saturday, I was able to shoot a 5 9/16" 5 shot group followed by a 5 1/2" group as well as several other <moa groups. Still, 50BMGBOB shot better than me and left with a 2 first place plaques! I ended up with a 2nd and a 3rd place.

Not sure about the MkIII but I finally got my MkII back today. I was a bit disappointed that he cut my 30" barrel a bit to rechamber it instead of just installing a new barrel. I now have a 29" barrel instead of my 30" I ordered .

Did savageevo ever get his upper back? Last I knew, he'd been waiting around 2 months.

Not sure but he probably did. I actually waited longer then he did. Was one of the first (if not first) ones to send it back b/c of the dtc issue.

I got my Ligamec today. I'll post pics and details tomorrow. It looks beautiful. Fit and finish looks great. I ended up putting it on my Superior Arms lower. Bolt was still tight in the RRA lower.

I'm really impressed with the fit and finish of this upper. The gray you see is aluminum from me honing the buffer tube, not the finish of the upper.

Great looking little toy you've got there. What part of the state are you in? Do you want to shoot 1000 yards sometime? I'm sending you a PM.
