I'm planing a shoot day with some of my friends and family. The spot my friends would like to go is about

34.537009,-117.704973

Now Google maps putts this just in side of Big Bad LA county. I can not find an up to date LA county map and from what I read non are available! The maps I have seen show shot gun only and hunt birds. San Bernardino county map shows I would be ok we are about a mile off the there map. My friends shoot here all the time and never had a problem.. Can some one help me out??

I just would had to get some BS ticket or end up in Jail with my Guns taken.

I have never been to this spot. I mostly shoot at ranges here in CA. I have not been to an open peace of desert here in CA in a long time "years" for shooting. I was just out for a desert shoot in NV and I forgot how fun it was.

Google maps puts it in Palmdale. Not sure how accurate that is

Would not think it is within city limits this far out. I going to call the blm office out that way.

It is not in Palmdale I know that much. Google maps shows a lot of roads but there more marked trails then anything. It looks way away for the OHV park that is out there so shooed not be a tun of offroad ppl out there.
