I ahve heard of a private range near lake matthews. does anyone know the name and how to contact them to be a member?

You need to go to a safety meeting at Sizzler and be a member of the NRA.
Application needs signatures of two members which you can probably get at the safety meeting.
And get signed off at one of their weekend events.

The club usually takes care of the five mile dirt road to the club but it can be tricky in a small car.

Great club in my opinion.
