the State and BLM will be gifting hundreds upon hundreds of thousands of acres of our public lands to the windscam turbines and utility scale solar projects. McCain Valley in San Diego County was just given away to Wall St. http://www.drecp.org/maps/

soon i wont be able to ride motorcycles out there anymore.... damn it.Competition is where you find out you're slow, can't see well, are not accurate, have poor gun handling, can't visualize, have equipment that doesn't work and either accept it OR DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

we all need to get involved and make public comment, some of this can be stopped, it's bad, really bad, hundreds upon hundreds of thousands of acres of our public lands will be given away.Protect public lands access http://www.backcountryhunters.org/Comment

oh yeah. where I usually go, they have been steadily building a windfarm. Now they are planning solar too. We drive right underneath where the power lines are being put. it's just a matter of time until they cut off our acsess all togetherOriginally posted by Marcus von W.Is that banjo music I hear?
"Sporter" is what the drooling toothless inbred albino with the hacksaw thinks his newly created "dear riffel" is.
"Bubba" is what he and his ugly and ruined rifle really are.
First you are chopping up historic vintage rifles and sticking them in cheap and nasty looking plastic "dildo" stocks that look like some kind of futuristic sex toy that gay space aliens stick up each other's butts.
Next thing you know, you think "Deliverance" is a love story.Comment

Old news… I shoot and ride out in San Diego BLM and the wind turbine construction is already happening…
I wish I had pictures for you but they already built a few miles of wind turbines right on top of my regular shooting spot.
Every time I am in the area I see more and more, and they aren’t even close to being done…ExtremeXComment

More info here at the El Centro BLM website.
It really is upsetting… ruins the landscape, and the local residents are very upset about it. You see a lot of “wind farm workers not welcome” signs…Last edited by ExtremeX; 02-11-2013, 10:15 PM.ExtremeXComment

If you suck with irons you will suck with optics. The difference is the aimpoint will allow you to suck faster and a scope will give you a closer look at how much you suck.AR's have finally become full blown "men's barbie dolls" now with fashion accessories.Comment

The sites I care about we have already lost... and its already too late and the Right-of-way Grant is already issued... The "fight" if you want to call it that... happened months ago..
Proposed Location: 5 miles west of the town of Ocotillo, in western Imperial County
Acreage: Approximately 12,436 acres of BLM-administered land
Status: Notice of Availability of the Record of Decision published in the Federal Register 5/11/12
Acreage: 1,130 acres private land
Status: Approved on August 23, 2011
There are a couple more projects on the approval list but I have no doubt they will pass.ExtremeXComment

It seems like they post the meeting times for public comment in obscure places, then have the meeting when nobody can make it. I try to keep a look out for these things, but there is too much going on behind the scenes to keep up with.My next Meet and Greet, Rally, range trip, or Clean Up in San Diego:

When I first started going out McCains you could shoot, camp, ride a dirt bike, do just about anywhere you wanted to. For 10 years we Never saw a BLM Ranger. Back then the area was completly open to do what every you wanted to do. Now when I go out there I just shake my head and think of all the old days and all the good times we had out there.
