    First Time

I just got back from OakTree. This is the first time in more than 35 years that I have shot a pistol and first time ever to shoot a pistol other than a .22 and first time ever at a range. First the bad news...This is going to be an expensive hobby!!! The good new is Is I had a blast! Every staff member I encountered was very friendly and so helpful. I stayed in the metal target range but next trip will spend some time with the paper targets as well. For the most part I was happy with the way I shot with a couple of WTF How could I be that far off shots! I was a little worried about the recoil but after a few shots with the glock 9mm and some with the .40 I realized there is not much at all. My guns preformed beautifully with not one FTF or any issues at all. More bad news is I learned you NEVER have enough magazines. Going in I thought 12 magazines between the two would be plenty, NOT. All I can say is it's a good thing I already planned on reloading because I'm going to be going through some serious amounts of ammo. Heck I'd still be there now If I had not started getting tired and shaking when I TRIED to aim. Al in all a great first day and I cant wait fir the next one.

Love Oak Tree. Theyve really made an effort to have really nice, helpful staff and a great range and gun store.

The Oak Tree sporting clays course is very fun and quite challenging. Great facility.
