Laguna seca range

I'm contemplating on going to The range in Laguna seca is it any good looking for input or would I be better off walking down to Markleys thanks in advance

Nice place, friendly staff. I dig it. Plus its the only place in the area I know of to shoot rifles.

I also live in Watsonville and i hate to shoot at indoor ranges now, used to go to Markleys alot and I went to Laguna and right when I pulled in the parking lot there was a couple of sheriff cars parked there made me kind of iffy, was the first time taking my AR out and didnt want to get harrased , its kind of an upscale range in my opinion not my style.I would recomend Metcalf Range just outside Morgan Hill right off 101 it has handgun and rifle ranges its actually closer than Laguna

There are sheriff cars parked there because up the driveway from the public range is a private LEO range. There's at least 5-6 people out there every weekend with an AR and I've never encountered or seen a problem. It's a nice place to shoot.

Call first. They might be closed if there is an event going on at the race track.

I live in Monterey and am at the range every weekend with AR's, M1A's and my Stoners. Never had a problem, it is a great range with excellent staff. My only complaint is the max shooting distance is 300 yards..

Yeah great place to shoot my buddy takes his ar's and our ak's all the time. Just so long as your on top of all your compliance parts you will be good.
