Angeles Range on Fire !!!!!!!!

Me and mydogsmonkey were out plinking the AK's on the right side of the range. Suddenly, we see commotion on the other side of the range, followed by sirens!!!

About 30 Forestry service trucks, local FD trucks, and a few Deputies arrive shortly. 3 choppers, about 75 firefighters hiking the hill, and water drops seemed to have put the fire out. We got our receipts signed, and a free pass for our next visit...

Hopefully, they did get it all out, and everyone was/is alright...Just thought I'd post incase you plan on heading out tomorrow. I would call and make sure they are open!

Dammit, when will people get it that after the posted date, using steel jacketed ammo is like shooting flaming arrows!?

If it was the range on fire then the range will be held responsible. I'll most likely it was steel ammo. That's all it takes to make us all look bad. Stupid people shooting at something other than paper targets.

They were for sure checking ammo today. Maybe somebody was sneaky?? The fire was at the end of the left side of the range, about 600 yards out? Either way, I'm sure they got it taken care of pretty fast.

No man, the fire was out at the end of the range, not inside the building what the heck? I wish I knew everybody was going out there tomorrow, I would have waited!!??

i've got some extra 7.62x39(testing a new powder) if you wanna come out, and be guinea pig tomorrow. we'll be there bout 10.

I wondered what the heck was going on with all the air drop helos shaking my windows. Couldn't see any sign of smoke and they were done in about 40 min, so I hoped it was something small. Sucks that it was at the range. I hope there aren't repercussions with the NFS/FD.

just went out there. the long side is closed till at least 12pm. while the forrest circus cleans up. short side is PACKED! guess ill test those loads later
