"Open" range

Been looking at threads on areas to shoot where we don't have strict range rules to deal with.

Saw Panoce and Tumey but they are south of me and are in the Non Lead zone which I am trying to avoid.

Be nice to be able to camp there as well once in a while.
Being in the East bay, any ideas on a place to shoot?

Ive been looking for the same thing with no luck. Let me know if you find a place.

I see the OP is in Castro Valley. Jump on Google maps and see if there are any BLM areas around you. I haven't checked as I don't get out to your area very often, but this is where I'd start. How far are you willing to drive?

Just checked and you are right there. They don't mention target shooting, just don't have any non breathing varmits on the ground.

How Far...

Just got back from vegas and we drove about 1/2 hr to the blm and had a blast. Gotta do that more here behind enemy lines...

Yeah Jackson Arms is pretty good. If you go you should bring a jacket because it gets cold from the ventilation. Don't get me wrong but having ventilation is a good thing, but it just gets really cold.
