    Laguna Seca

I called them this morning and they are open. Old news perhaps but good news to me. $15 the first hour, $10 the second hour. Not inexpensive but a nice range with pistol paper and steel; pistol/rifle out to 200 yards. Every other station is blocked off so first come first served. Limited number of 200 yard stations. Details at Monterey county parks website. And if there is any paid admission car race, the shooting range is closed. See the website.

9/27/2020 the range was closed due to the Ferrari Challenge at the race track. Due to covid, or riots, or fires, possibly locusts, the race was very low key, only a $5.00 admission fee(!).
No programs, no p.a. system, no plumbed bathrooms or food vendors. Hard to tell what I was watching as all Ferraris, with race trim, look about the same to me. BUT GREAT FUN.
This looked somewhat like weekend club racing as each heat had a mix of factory or otherwise sponsored teams, plus lots of Ferrari owners who paid to go fast around the track, not fast enough to win, especially not fast enough to break.
