Burro Canyon
I've been there multiple times since November 08. (Imagine why.....) So far I've not had a problem on Saturday and Sunday's on the rifle range. I've rented private a range too (TAC 1C to be specific). So far everyone has been accommodating. (For that matter, on the private range we were shooting a full auto MP5 without any problems. [Of course I told the staff what was happening first]
)
Can't speak to the pistol range issue, no experience there.
Maybe I've been just lucky, but I haven't run into anybody suffering from "rectal cranial impaction" as yet
So much for my experience, YMMV.
PS: I know they like copper and lead bullets ONLY, cause of fire danger, no copper clad steel stuff. They have magnet's, and they do check.Duct tape is like 'The Force'. It has a light side and a dark side, and it holds the universe together.

One man's murder is another man's self defense...it all depends on what "side" your on....but I just asked a simple question about black rifles at Burro..the political forum is not here...I love America for the rights and freedoms we used to have.Comment

To me, Burro is a great place to shoot.... if you rent your own range.
They let you use your own targets (handmade of course).
The issue with the ammo is only during fire season. Once into fire season ammo and target restrictions are imposed. Target restrictions include: metal signs, metal stands and pretty much anything else that might cause a spark when hit.
I've rented ranges out there at least a dozen times in the last two years and have never had a bad experience with the staff.Comment
