the steel was cut to IDPA specs.. It stands 6ft tall, the paddles are there for fun... it breaks down into 3 pcs. target , post, and base...

cool, how thick is the metal and how much abuse can it take?

I used .250" that is all we had lying around.. If we keep to pistol and .22 calibers it should hold up fine... I intend on shooting it untill it breaks and then make improvements from there... ( i know 1/4 " is thin but it was all I had that was free...)

p.s. The stand has 5 degrees of slant built into it so the bullets deflect down.

Not to be an a-hole, but I hope you have some sort of rubber buffer to prevent the swinging arms hitting the back of metal silhouette.

the paddles slip into sleeves with an angled cut... just like those plastic washers that automaticly close the refriderator door using its own weight...
the paddles will only rest in the inner or outer positions.

I do see the paddles getting slapped around quite a bit .. thanx for the input
