Indoor ranges in San Jose area for Rifle Rounds

    Hi Guys,

I am new to the forum and also to the san jose area. I know there are reeds indoor range and target masters but both do not accept rifle caliber. I am looking for a place to shoot .223 and 7.62 but it's indoor.

Any help will be greatly appreciated and please pardon my ignorance.

    S.O.L. There isn't any.
There are 3 kinds of people in this world.
The wise, learn from the mistakes of others.
The smart, learn from their own mistakes.
The others, well......they just never learn.

None. The only indoor range in the entire SF Bay Area that allows rifle rounds is Jackson Arms in South San Francisco.

Indoor? How can you stand it? The walls are closing in just thinking about it. Go to Los Altos Rod and gun club. Or BLM land. It's much nicer. Even in the rain.

My buddy and I recently went shooting and he shot corrosive yugo ammo through his Mosin and figured he could just piss in the barrel and call it a day. Several days later the bolt was rusted shut but I guess the fouling wasnt TOO bad.

There are only 3 rifle lanes at Jackson Arms.....just FYI

also make sure you ammo is non-magnetic/non-steel core

Thanks for your help guys--I will check out Jackson Arms soon! I wanted to go indoor because some of my friends are newbies and I don't want them to be intimidated at Los Altos.

I do want to visit Los Altos one day so I can use Wolf to save $$.

IMO indoor ranges are more intimindating because of the added noise and close quarters.....AR and AKs are especially loud at an indoor range...
