New Hogan Dam Closure

I went up to the Blm Land on New Hogan Dam Rd the other day
and it was closed with a wire across the dirt road leaing up to
shooting area. My son said that Park Personel said that they put
up the wire fence and trench the road about a week ago.

I just went there today and there were two group shooting up there, they parked on the side of the road and walked up. There is a sign on the fence that says no shooting safety area but not sure if it means you are not allowed to shoot at all or just in that direction. One of the guys there said that he has seen some people shooting south out of the blm boundary at parked tractors? I 'talked to some game warden patrolling the area about a week ago and they said it was fine but I'm not sure if they have jurisdiction for blm use.

I called the blm office today and they said that there no restriction on shooting right now but it will probably happen due to the mess.

I was just there on monday fishing and heard people blasting all day.
