I tried to reply to the "Rosamond (AV) Cleanup" thread but it's over 128 days old and the system would not let me reply to that thread...
Well, looks like there's some "F***ed" up S*** happening out in this area of Rosamond, on the public roads.
My neighbor went out there this past weekend to do a little shooting in that general area but not at the posted "No Trespassing" area. As he was driving out on the public dirt roads he hit a patch of "tacks" (lack of a better word) that was scattered all over this section of road. Once he noticed these 'tacks' it was way to late. His front tires took most of the 'tacks' but his rear tires got them too. He stopped the car in the road and looked on the ground. He told me that there was 100's if not 1000's of 'tacks' all over the road. He was able to back the car out the 'tacks' and he made it home (we live in Rosamond).
He called Kern County Sheriff Office and made a report of the incident. The Sheriff's Office told him that he was not the only one to report this. The Sheriff's Office told him that 3 Sheriff's cars and at least 6 POV have hit these 'tacks' in that area on the road. The Sheriff's Office already launched a full blown investigation to find out who is doing this.
Here's a few pictures of his tires...

He has to replace all 4 tires at a cost of about $600... That's a nice new gun now it will be tires...
