    Old Brass from range cleanup

Hey everyone I work at scrap metal yard located in downtown Modesto. We buy empty brass casings for scrap and pay top dollar. We pay cash or check for what you bring in, there is just a required 3 business day hold on the payment as required by state law. No sense in tossing them in the garbage when you can make a few extra dollars for your clean up.

    Contact for more info,
    Jarad Pinkerton (209)522-1435.

Do you take empty steel casings for scrap as well? Those are the ones that generally go to the trash now that my friend reloads.

I know it varies but what's the average scrap price per pound for cartridge brass?

Yes, I was wondering also. The scrap yard nearest to me said they would only give about $1 a pound.

Yes we do take the empty steel casings too. As of Friday 12/30 we were paying .10 per pound for the steel casings, and $1.60 for the all brass casings. Not sure what kind of rates we will start out the new year with.

@Bruce... We do sometimes sell lead but we may be out of the pure stuff. I know we have lead&steel car wheel weights.
