ALRIGHT FOLKS... 2/2/13 9:30 AM AT BIG JOHN'S MARKET, ON THE CORNER OF DRY CREEK ROAD AND HEALDSBURG AVE., IN HEALDSBURG.

That'll be the meeting place, and we can head up the hill from there. Bring trash bags, a rake, maybe a shovel or two, and some cash to help pay for dump fees. THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE that in the future, I can get dump fees covered by a variety of organizations, grants, and agreements with state and federal agencies.

I'll throw a bunch of drinks in an ice chest. Make sure to bring a sack lunch of some kind since I don't think we got the BBQ thing figured out. I'll have a bunch of good info for everyone during lunch that I got from BLM today, and we can plan future events.

Bring a camera, so we can get before and after photos too. The BLM Ranger is way excited about the whole thing, and wants to put it in their newsletter for some local recognition. He also asked if we wanted to put it in the local SR paper for some publicity, but figured I'd talk to you guys about that first and get a concensus.
I told him that we may not want to do that, to keep "undesirables" from finding out the spot, and turning it in to a trash dump again.

There are people who live up there too, so please be respectful of their homes, driveways, and privacy.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFO!!!
I'lll have a pretty decent first aid kit, just in case. Make sure you bring any medicines you may need . No drinking booze, no drugs. It's a long narrow winding road and I don't want anyone driving off of it.

IT'S A VERY POPULAR ROAD FOR BIKES. No matter how you feel about road bikes, be very careful to not run them over. There's usually quite a few of them, and there are LOTS of narrow spots at blind corners, and they're often coming down the hill at high speeds. The last thing we want is for our first big semi-organized event to be a catastrophe.

Besides that, let's go get some work done, have fun, and keep public lands public! See ya'll Saturday morning.

never been to Pine Flat Road I see it on google maps but where does everyone actually shoot at. ie location(end of road, past end of road,left, right, longitude and latitude )

The very end of the road. When you see a big rusted gate and a lot of brass/shells on the ground you've hit the end.

At the last Pine Flats range cleanup day there was talk of another cleanup day in late March. It's now getting to be late March, anyone else up for a next cleanup?

Great thread. Excited to help out in the future. Gotta look up this potential indoor tang towards Oakmont that was mentioned. I could walk there from my house.

Not really sure on the time, but this next Saturday, March 30th, will be the next cleanup. If you don't meet us at the bottom, just get up there around 1030 or 11 and we'll be there.

I went up today and it's looking pretty good. Those engine blocks are still at the bottom of the hill and we'll winch them out, and we'll clean up a few other spots a little further down the road, which are NOT legal shooting spots, but people have abused them anyway.

And as before, bring some toys to shoot after we're done cleaning!

There's a decent chance that BLM is going to be bringing up a dumpster to throw all the trash in. CA Fish and Wildlife and BLM with both have LEO up there to help get their hands dirty with us too, and from the ones I've met they're pretty good guys, very pro gun, and don't have any interest in hassling anyone over their out-of-the-ordinary guns...other than wanting to shoot them!
