The simple way is just put or tape the tannerite in front on the outside of the object our're blowing up . Blast should push everything away from the shooter that way you won't shrapnell your self .That's part of the reason I want to make my own from a mold. Rather than using kiln baked ceramic, I can make them out of a thin layer of plaster. Unlike a gnome sold for an actual garden these don't have to stand up to weather and time; they just have to survive the drive to the range.
