Don't forget to sweep your brass forward!

When shooting at an indoor range and if there's a broom around, please sweep it!

I don't do it, don't want to kick up any lead dust. I do clean up the bench however.

Damn with the price of ammo i always ask if guys are collecting their brass or if I can have it...then I get it....I have become a brass hoarder/slut/whatever.

Have to ask though, anyone else have a run in at a range where they 'claim'ownership' of any brass that is not yours? I have but tell them it is all mine since i have asked the actual people who shot the ammo. They get bent out of shape, guess you can make some $$ with cleaning and selling once fired brass...

I have one of those. It works OK until it gets about half full of brass then it starts to throw my groups off.

You know, I've always wondered about that. When I shoot indoors I always sweep up the brass and push it forward of the firing line, but I've always had this feeling that I might be pissing off someone who wanted to police up their brass and re-use it.

Sweeping the brass forward is good in that there is less of a chance for someone to inadvertently slip on it. After I am done shooting I sweep the brass forward as a courtesy to others.

Range courtesy: Ask the shooter next to you if they mind you sweeping their brass out of the way.
